RN Postpartum-Newborn Nursery Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a RN Postpartum-Newborn Nursery Specialist. As a key member of our Maternal Child Health department, you will provide direct patient care in the Postpartum/Couplet setting, working to provide patients with an individualized care plan through assessment and planning.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient's clinical condition, including fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies.
- Perform nursing duties as needed in the continuum of care for all areas of Maternal Child health.
- Assist physicians with procedures in Postpartum care and the Newborn Nursery.
- Participate in process improvement efforts and activities for the department.
- Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
- Current State of Utah or Compact Registered Nurse License.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of hire.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification – must obtain within 90 days of hire and then maintain certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Fetal Monitoring certification preferred. Must obtain NRP certification within 90 days from date of hire and then maintain certification.
- One or more years of recent Postpartum/Newborn Nursery experience preferred.
