Oral Surgery Dental Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our team at Advantage Dental. As a key member of our oral surgery team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our doctors and hygienists.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide chair-side clinical support to doctors and hygienists, including charting, patient education, and operatory set-up and clean-up.
  • Deliver an exceptional patient experience at all phases of their appointment, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Take and process X-Rays as prescribed by the dentist, maintaining accurate records and files.
  • Enter patient treatment plans and maintain files at the direction of the dentist, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatories, upholding the highest standards of infection control and safety.
  • Educate patients on the importance of their oral health, promoting prevention and wellness.
  • Work collaboratively with the team on all areas of the practice, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of a dental assisting program or enrollment in our internal training program.
  • Dental Assistant Certifications required.
  • Dental assisting experience preferred, but not necessary.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and working with a dental software such as Dentrix, Eagle Soft, or Dental Vision.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to partnering with all team members to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
