Senior Employment Litigation Attorney
We are seeking an accomplished Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team at Klie Law Offices, PLLC. As a Senior Employment Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for leading complex cases, managing a team of dedicated support staff, and providing expert representation in West Virginia's circuit court and federal court.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in jury trials, deposition proceedings, handling intricate motions, and negotiating settlements. You will also be responsible for conducting depositions and mediations, and serving as lead counsel in trials and arbitrations with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:- Case Management: Manage a caseload of at least 40 cases meticulously, ensuring precision and attention to detail
- Team Supervision: Supervise the dedicated support staff assigned to your cases to guarantee seamless operations
- Legal Analysis: Thoroughly analyze legal scenarios and develop strategic plans to effectively address clients' needs
- Litigation Strategy: Direct litigation strategies and provide representation for clients in both West Virginia's circuit court and federal court
- Document Drafting: Meticulously draft legal documents and conduct comprehensive legal research to strengthen cases
- Court Representation: Conduct depositions and mediations, and serve as lead counsel in trials and arbitrations with confidence
- High-Pressure Situations: Proficient in effectively managing high-pressure situations
- Employment Laws: Knowledge of employment laws and procedures
- Challenging Circumstances: Capable of handling challenging or negative circumstances with poise and tact
- Jury Trials: Experience in serving as first chair in jury trials
- West Virginia Bar: Licensed to practice law in West Virginia
- Technology: Comfortable utilizing technology within legal practice
- Client Commitment: Demonstrates a strong commitment to assisting clients in difficult situations and improving their outcomes
- Negotiation Skills: Possesses exceptional negotiation skills, thinks quickly on their feet, and displays confidence in a courtroom environment
- Travel: Willing to travel for mediations and depositions across the state
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000, inclusive of bonuses, health benefits, and 401(k) contributions. We cover all bar dues and CLE fees and provide potential relocation assistance.
