Job Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at The Landing of Panama City Beach Memory Care. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to our residents, including assistance with daily living activities, meal service, and light housekeeping.
Responsibilities:- Assist with Daily Living Activities: Provide assistance with dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene, while promoting resident independence.
- Interact with Residents: Engage with residents at all levels of care, demonstrating empathy, kindness, and respect.
- Report Changes: Observe and report any changes in a resident's health or emotional well-being to the supervisor.
- Meal Service: Serve and assist residents with meals in the dining room.
- Leisure Activities: Participate in leisure activities provided to residents, as described in the activity calendar.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, including daily general housekeeping duties.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and visitors, using a language they can understand.
- Safety and Security: Ensure a safe and secure working environment, reporting any safety hazards to the supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to bloodborne pathogens.
