Position Overview

Role Summary:

This role is tasked with the setup and testing of audiovisual equipment, including lighting, displays, and sound systems, for use at client locations. The individual will operate under the guidance of the AV service manager and collaborate with fellow AV team members to ensure a secure and effective implementation of products at customer sites. Flexibility in working hours, including days, nights, and weekends, is essential to meet project and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure equipment such as microphones, speakers, video displays, projectors, recording devices, and sound mixing boards for events at client venues.
  • Uphold a tidy and safe working environment at both company and client locations, including daily site cleanup.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues while effectively communicating concerns and proposed solutions to clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other AV professionals and team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure safe transportation of equipment to client sites while maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the company vehicle.
  • Foster a team-oriented atmosphere across regional and virtual practices, maintaining professionalism and respect at all times.
  • Manage inventory of equipment in the company vehicle and on-site during projects.
  • Stay updated with current vendor and industry-specific certifications, as well as new products and solutions.
  • Meet a minimum of 1,450 billable hours per fiscal year, adjusted based on the start date, while balancing professional development and on-the-job training.

Experience Requirements:

  • 0 - 1 year in a technical field, internship, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 - 2 years of familiarity with products such as Crestron, Extron, and Digital Displays.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electronic measuring instruments.

Essential Skills, Education, and Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work from ladders and aerial lifts.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Certifications:

  • Basic knowledge of DC electronic wiring and termination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook.
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise or similar software systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and signal flow diagrams.
