About the Role

As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will be part of a team that develops cutting-edge technologies to transform the way billions of users interact with information and each other. Our products require handling massive amounts of data, and we're looking for engineers who can bring fresh ideas from various areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, and large-scale system design.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions for large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies and participate in design reviews.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Triage product or system issues, debug, and resolve by analyzing sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution, and software test engineering.
What We Offer

At Google, we offer a competitive salary range of $136,000-$200,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. We're committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment that fosters growth and innovation.
