Position Overview

The primary role of the Culinary Specialist is to create high-quality meals in alignment with specified dietary needs of residents, adhering to facility protocols and relevant regulations as guided by the Dietary Services Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Culinary Specialist, your essential duties will include:
  • Preparing all food items as instructed in a hygienic and timely manner
  • Following recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Safely and efficiently operating standard kitchen equipment
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your work area while practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Assisting in the cleaning and organization of kitchen spaces and equipment
  • Restocking supplies as necessary throughout your shift
  • Complying with all sanitation and food production regulations
QUALIFICATIONS FOR CULINARY SPECIALIST

Required qualifications include:
  • Encouragement for military experienced candidates to apply
  • Open to applicants without a high school diploma or GED
  • A welcoming environment for those with gaps in their employment history or who have been out of work for an extended period
