Key Responsibilities
- Operational Coordination: Collaborate with the Practice Manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring optimal support for nursing, radiology, and laboratory services.
- Staff Management: Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff, maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
- Patient Care Oversight: Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring compliance with established protocols and quality standards.
- Education and Training: Develop and implement training programs for staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge in oncology practices.
- Performance Evaluation: Participate in employee performance assessments and assist in addressing employee relations issues.
- Resource Allocation: Work closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to allocate resources effectively and ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for enhancing patient care and operational processes.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Indiana.
- Minimum of two years of oncology experience.
- Oncology Certification (ONC) and Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in oncology.
- Proficient in medical office procedures and electronic health records.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and implement effective solutions.
