Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Sonography Specialist to join our team. As an essential member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and diagnostic services.
About the JobThis PRN position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, performing clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. You will utilize your expertise in cross-sectional anatomy and pathology to provide accurate diagnoses and support patient care for all age groups.
Responsibilities- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic exams and procedures
- Provide patient-centered care, communicating effectively with staff and radiologists to ensure seamless coordination
- Maintain knowledge of current technologies and techniques, adhering to industry standards and best practices
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent experience
- No minimum experience required; one year of experience preferred
- BLS certification
- Registration through ARDMS within six months of employment (or applicable certifications)
