Overview:
Job Summary

The Human Resources Specialist will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive HR support across the organization. This position is responsible for managing the Alertline process to ensure prompt responses to employee concerns and fostering positive employee relations. The Specialist will assist in crafting innovative and effective solutions to complex employee relations challenges. Additionally, they will address HR inquiries within their scope and escalate issues as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
In collaboration with HR leadership, facilitate the resolution of Alertline concerns. Work alongside HR Business Partners (HRBP) to evaluate employee relations matters and establish a resolution path. Conduct thorough and impartial investigations.

Handle general employee requests, including access to personnel files, responses to unemployment claims, verification of employment, and other correspondence as needed.

Provide support to managers and employees to ensure a comprehensive understanding of HR policies and procedures across the organization.


Assist HRBPs in executing company initiatives such as performance management, talent reviews, reporting, engagement surveys, hiring, onboarding, goal setting, coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.

Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Establish and uphold consistency in daily Human Resources practices and procedures, continuously seeking opportunities for increased efficiency.

Collaborate with in-house legal counsel to compile documentation related to legal complaints.

Maintain an up-to-date understanding of legal requirements pertaining to employee management, minimizing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as necessary.

Other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Requirements:

Regular scheduled attendance is essential.

Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 5%.

Regular attendance is a fundamental function of this position. All employees must adhere to the company's employment practices and policies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from an accredited institution and two to four years of experience in Human Resources or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of two years of experience successfully leading employee relation investigations.

Demonstrated experience managing complex workplace complaints and conflict resolution; experience providing guidance on performance management, company policies, and procedures.

Skills:

Knowledge of human resources principles and practices.

Experience in managing employee relations, including conflict resolution and policy implementation.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.

Ability to navigate challenging situations and diplomatically guide management and employees on effective practices.

Capacity to manage through ambiguity and adapt to fast-paced, changing business priorities.

Ability to cultivate strong, trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.

Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.

Proactive in identifying and anticipating business needs and making recommendations for implementation.

Strong conflict management skills.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Experience with HRIS software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is preferred.
