RN - Float Pool Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team at Trident Medical Center. As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Med Surg and ICU departments.
Responsibilities- Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate treatment plans for patients in the Med Surg and ICU departments.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve positive patient and departmental outcomes.
- Float between Trident Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center, maintaining overall accountability for assigned patients.
- Manage efficient patient flow, including screening, preparation for exams, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- Must have at least: two (2) year full time equivalent Acute Care RN experience in designated area.
