Job Summary

Centurion Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our Brunswick location. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for Patient Interactions: Ensure that all necessary documentation and equipment are available for patient interactions.
  • Review Charts and Schedules: Review patient charts, schedules, and medical records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Generate Patient Education Materials: Create and distribute patient education materials, informed consent forms, and other documents as needed.
  • Obtain Medical Records and Lab Results: Obtain and review medical records, lab results, and diagnostic study results to ensure accurate patient information.
  • Maintain a Therapeutic Environment: Ensure that the physical care environment is clean, safe, and well-stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Communicate with Internal and External Resources: Communicate with internal and external resources to procure necessary supplies and information.
  • Collaborate with Scheduling and Billing: Collaborate with scheduling and billing departments to ensure seamless patient experiences.
  • Communicate with Physicians and Care Providers: Communicate with physicians, physician assistants, and other care providers to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One or more years of experience as a medical assistant, CMA preferred. In lieu of experience, graduating from an accredited MA program is acceptable.
  • Skills: Basic computer knowledge required. Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Able to multi-task efficiently and effectively in busy and/or stressful situations.
  • Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
