About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer physical therapy treatments and modalities under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
  • Instruct and motivate patients and their families in continued physical therapy programs and adaptive equipment use.
  • Observe and report patient responses to treatment and progress to the Physical Therapist.
  • Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team to plan, modify, and coordinate treatment programs.
  • Assess patient skills and capabilities to determine abilities and limitations.
  • Supervise and oversee department rehab aides for patient care areas.
  • Precept students from participating colleges and universities in clinical experience and internships.
  • Stay current on physical therapy developments and new technology.
  • Provide formal orientation to new Physical Therapy Assistants, aides, and volunteers.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
Requirements
  • 2-Year/Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Licensed in the State of Kentucky PT Board.
  • CPR Certification preferred.
  • New grads accepted; experience preferred but not mandatory.
