We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med-Surg/Telemetry team at Kaiser Permanente's facility in Wailuku, Hawaii. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes.

About the Role

This 36-hour per week position involves working night shifts, providing care to patients on the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. Your duties will include:

  • Providing direct patient care and assessing patient needs
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You must also have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, including knowledge of medications, medical equipment, and patient safety protocols.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii and have experience working in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting. You will also need to possess basic life support certification and be able to demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical records. Additional requirements include a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing and pediatric advanced life support certification within three months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with experience using electronic medical records and those who have worked in a variety of healthcare settings, such as operating rooms, emergency departments, and oncology units.
