Host/Hostess Job Description

At Cattle Baron Restaurants, we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our team. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting and Seating: Welcome guests, seat them promptly, and ensure they have everything they need to feel comfortable.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate menu features, specials, and any other relevant information to our guests.
  • Phone and Reservation Management: Answer phone calls, take reservations, and manage waitlists efficiently.
  • Table Management: Clear and clean tables quickly, and ensure the dining area is well-maintained.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers, bussers, and other staff members to provide seamless service.
Physical and Mental Demands:

The Host/Hostess role requires standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and moving tables and chairs. You must also be able to communicate effectively with guests and staff, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

As a Host/Hostess, you will work in a dynamic restaurant environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands. You must be able to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
