  • Administer Radiation Therapy: Oversee the precise delivery of radiation therapy, monitoring and adjusting treatments based on patient response and side effects.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work with oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for cancer patients.
  • Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and families about treatment options, potential side effects, and long-term outcomes.
  • Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatment plans, procedures, and patient progress.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in radiation oncology techniques and technologies, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree and Certification: MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology.
  • Valid Medical License: Valid medical license to practice in New York.
  • Residency Program Completion: Completion of an accredited residency program in Radiation Oncology.
  • Clinical Knowledge and Skills: Strong clinical knowledge in cancer biology, radiation therapy techniques, and emerging treatment modalities.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care and collaboration with the medical team.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse patient population.
