We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Avamere at Pacific Ridge East. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals in large quantities, ensuring that they are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
- Inspect diet trays and work with the facility's dietitian to process diet changes received from Nursing Services.
- Coordinate food service with other departments to ensure seamless meal delivery.
- Ensure that food and supplies are readily available for the next meal.
- Review menus prior to preparation of food and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
- Experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility is preferred.
- Must have a Food Handler's Card.
- Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
- Must be knowledgeable of food preparation procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
