Lateral Police Officer

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding position for an experienced sworn law enforcement officer looking to join Ogden City Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing laws and maintaining order in our community, while also developing their skills and expertise in this critical role.

Salary Information:

Ogden City Corporation offers a competitive salary range, with estimated annual rates ranging from $56,267.83 to $85,376.37, depending on experience. Additionally, shift differential pay may be applicable. Our salaries are based on a 12-step progression system, ensuring fair compensation for your skills and dedication.

Responsibilities:
  • Enforce laws and maintain order in our community
  • Develop and improve skills and expertise as a sworn law enforcement professional
Requirements:
  • Currently or within the last two years employed as a Peace Officer (Law Enforcement Officer) in Utah or another state
  • Must have training equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade
Benefits:
  • $1,100 uniform allowance upon hire
  • Annual education incentive: $1,000 for associate degree, $2,000 for bachelor's degree, $3,000 for master's degree
  • $5,000 hiring bonus for successful lateral candidates
