Job Overview: The Nighttime Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of all public spaces within the hotel. This role is crucial in ensuring that guests have a pleasant experience by keeping areas such as lobbies, restrooms, and offices in pristine condition. The attendant must embody a friendly and professional demeanor while addressing guest inquiries and concerns.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to all cleaning standards set forth for public areas.
  2. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents for various surfaces in compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Prioritize cleaning tasks based on assigned areas.
  4. Safely transport cleaning supplies and equipment to designated locations.
  5. Dispose of waste and recycling materials responsibly.
  6. Maintain cleanliness in offices, hallways, and restrooms.
  7. Ensure dining areas and banquet facilities are well-kept.
  8. Polish and maintain furniture and fixtures.
  9. Vacuum and clean elevator interiors.
  10. Keep the exterior of the hotel free from litter.
  11. Thoroughly clean carpets and upholstered furniture using appropriate methods.
  12. Wash walls and ceilings, rearranging furniture as necessary.
  13. Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
  14. Dust and shine metal surfaces.
  15. Access offices for maintenance and cleaning as required.
  16. Inspect furniture for damage and report issues to maintenance.
  17. Ensure cleanliness of all surfaces including doors, windows, and baseboards.
  18. Safeguard public areas and manage lost and found items appropriately.
  19. Familiarize oneself with hotel emergency procedures.
  20. Adapt to changing cleaning duties as operational needs evolve.

Qualifications:

  • Physical stamina and mobility are essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Efficiently perform tasks with accuracy and courtesy.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices.
  • Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance.
