An exciting opportunity to work in a growing rural hospital affiliated physical and occupational therapy center. The Physical Therapist will provide and coordinate services for our acute and swing bed patients in the hospital setting, as well as in our outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in assessment and evidence-based treatments, and be skilled in a wide range of basic evaluation instruments. They will also be able to modify and adapt treatment techniques to improve outcomes, participate in PI/QA programs, and contribute to departmental meetings. Additionally, they will supervise physical therapy assistants as needed and promote occupational therapy to the hospital, community, and local and outside referrals/providers.
LocationWe are located in a beautiful rural setting, with a diverse population and a strong sense of community. Our hospital is nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, offering a unique and scenic work environment.
CompensationWe offer a competitive compensation package, with 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to reward successful candidates for their experience. Our compensation range is $72.82 per hour, with a sign-on bonus of $10,000.00 and a housing stipend of $1,200.00 per month for the first three months of employment.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy, a valid license from the Physical Therapy Board of California, and a valid BLS for healthcare provider certification. You will also need experience in acute skilled nursing or outpatient settings, with 2-3 years of experience as a physical therapist preferred. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, compassion, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for assisting the physician in evaluating patients, treating patients to relieve pain and/or develop or restore function, and recording and reporting patient reactions to treatment. You will also educate patients and their families in the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices, and attend rehabilitation center staff meetings and in-service presentations.
