Position Summary

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring product excellence through rigorous quality assessments and adherence to industry standards. This position involves collaboration with various teams to maintain high-quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily quality evaluations on products utilizing a variety of measurement instruments.

  • Maintain precise documentation and participate in internal audits and customer audit preparations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in quality engineering is required.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification is preferred.
  • Experience in supervisory or leadership roles is advantageous.
Essential Skills and Competencies
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820) standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in GD&T and metrology practices.
  • Skilled in various software applications, including Microsoft Office and Minitab.
  • Exceptional documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to integrate ASTM and ISO standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in analytical tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and SPC.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, including task creation and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
Responsibilities and Authority
  • Develop and implement verification and validation plans in accordance with ISO, FDA, and company procedures.
  • Create comprehensive project tasks and schedules while interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in supplier audits to ensure compliance with inspection methods and process changes.
  • Support quality planning for both new and existing products, including risk assessments.
  • Conduct hazard and risk analyses, including FMEA and decision tree evaluations.
  • Act as a liaison between quality control and operations to verify inspection processes.
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints and internal quality issues.
  • Identify and recommend new inspection equipment to meet production demands.
  • Authorize quality control documentation in the absence of key management personnel.
  • Conduct Measurement System Analysis and mentor quality department staff.
  • Provide training to employees as necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Oversee Quality Engineer I, Quality Technicians, and Inspectors as designated.
