Job Title:Certified Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled certified phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label specimens, and maintain accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have experience in collecting and storing specimens, explaining the venipuncture process to patients, and demonstrating techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures
  • Explaining the venipuncture process to patients clearly and courteously
  • Demonstrating techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles
  • Matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
  • Labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test orders
  • Checking all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy
  • Packaging specimens for transport
  • Storing specimen samples at required temperatures
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations
  • Attending annual department trainings
  • Answering telephone calls to provide laboratory results

Hard Skills:

  • 1 year experience drawing blood in large volume
  • Venipuncture
  • Butterfly sticks
  • Certification in MD

Job Type:

This is a contract position with a duration of 9 Weekly.

Work Environment:

8 AM - 4:30 PM, Patient service center, Doctors office - IOP
