Job Title: Histology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technician to join our team at a laboratory that provides comprehensive anatomic, clinical, and molecular pathology services.

The laboratory is fully certified by the state of Tennessee, College of American Pathologists (CAP), and the Joint Commission, as well as the Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex histology procedures, including embedding, grossing, special stains, and IHC.
  • Work with a team to ensure accurate and timely processing of tissue samples.
  • Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure high-quality results.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain laboratory accreditation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in histology or a related field.
  • HTL or HT Certification through ASCP (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
