Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting modeling, simulation, and analysis activities to support business stakeholders, analysts, and warfighters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model Development and Execution: Assist government agencies with the development and use of complex models, tools, and algorithms to identify trends and patterns in large datasets.
  • Model Building and Running: Build and run models to include EO, SAR, Commercial, and Foreign collection systems, developing and producing conditional probability tables as model inputs.
  • Model Maintenance and Updates: Build and update models and analysis tools within standard modeling software environments such as ExtendSim, Netica, MS Excel, SPSS, and/or MATLAB.
  • Data Processing and Visualization: Process and visualize large volumes of model inputs and outputs.
  • Model Experimentation and Analysis: Perform data collection and preparation, model formulation and setup, and execution of production runs or other model experimentation.
  • System Performance Analysis: Support developing models of NGA's architectures, requirements, and systems performance, considering NGA and NSG strategies and overall vision for the future of GEOINT.
  • Analysis of Alternatives: Support creating models to analyze alternatives, performance trades, design trades, and new capabilities, developing alternatives for deployment based on MS&A results in existing NSG architectures and cloud environments.
  • Data Exploration and Visualization: Support data exploration and visualization of historical and forecast performance and other data.
  • Tool Development and Maintenance: Build, test, update, and maintain tools and techniques for ingesting and processing input and output data.
  • Integration and Data Management: Build, test, update, and maintain tools and techniques that integrate the various input/output data sets from multiple models and simulators.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Exhibit transparency by sharing all salient facts relevant to the task at hand, providing honest and frank feedback to leads on the achievability of desired deliverables within proposed timeframes, communicating unexpected setbacks quickly, and proposing mitigation actions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Experience: A minimum of six years of technical experience is required, with experience in Government or industry modeling large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
  • Technical Skills: Experience working with programming languages such as C, SQL, R, Visual Basic, and Python, understanding of applied statistics, and experience with manipulating and maintaining large and complex databases.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Education: Graduate degree in Operations Research, Statistical Analysis, or other higher-level mathematics.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering: Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools, and languages.
  • Geospatial Intelligence: Demonstrated understanding of the geospatial intelligence mission and the use of models, simulation, and visualization technologies in decision support roles.
  • NTM and GEOINT: Experience with NTM, US Commercial, or Foreign Partner GEOINT collection systems and related Key Performance Parameter benchmarks.
  • Operations Research: Six years of experience in Operations Research to accompany Systems Analysis and better represent the breadth and depth of the required MS&A interface.
