We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery to join our team at Reston Hospital Center. As a Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Maternal Child Health department.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to women in labor and delivery, as well as postpartum patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care. Your expertise and experience will be essential in providing education and support to patients and their families during this critical time.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to women in labor and delivery, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families during the labor and delivery process
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery or Maternal Child Health
