Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care at one of our in-center hemodialysis units. As a member of our patient care team, you will be integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes for every patient.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Treatment Preparation: Prepare dialysis machines, alarms, and treatment supplies to ensure quality standards are met.
- Treatment Administration: Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures, monitoring patients during dialysis and assessing and communicating changes with physicians and families.
- Patient Education and Training: Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching to promote patient understanding and self-management of their condition.
- Medication Administration: Administer and chart all prescribed medications, following CDC/CMS infection control regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews, and contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed.
- Additional Tasks: Assist in medication inventory maintenance, lead a small patient care team, and perform additional tasks as requested.
