We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at DeMarco Sciaccotta Wilkens & Dunleavy, LLP. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for reviewing and preparing business, fiduciary, and personal income tax returns, as well as training staff in tax matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare tax returns and training staff in tax matters.
- Engage with clients and staff to ensure proactive tax planning.
- Prepare tax projections and consult on tax-related matters.
- Oversee income tax correspondence and develop strong relationships with clients.
- Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.
- Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals.
- Interpret the U.S. tax code and research tax law implications.
- Advise clients on tax-related issues and manage staff/managers on projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA Certification.
- 6+ years prior tax experience in public accounting.
- Significant supervisory experience (2 years plus).
- Experience preparing entities and individual tax returns.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills.
- Self-starter and team player with ability to recognize when additional hour commitments are needed.
Qualified candidates who can work in-office or hybrid schedules are strongly preferred.
