Job Summary:

Temple University Hospital is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Cardiology department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and education to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough physical exams and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as authorized by your licensure and certification.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiovascular medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices into your care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a cardiovascular specialty.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an academic medical center or teaching hospital.
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular disease management and treatment options.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols.
