Locum Obstetrician and Gynecologist Opportunity in North Carolina

This rewarding position provides a unique blend of inpatient and outpatient care, with a supportive team of medical professionals in a community hospital setting.
Position OverviewThis exciting opportunity is designed to cater to the needs of women's health enthusiasts who are passionate about providing quality care. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive OB/GYN services, including inpatient and outpatient care, as well as call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Deliver exceptional patient care, with a focus on high-quality service delivery.
- Call Responsibilities: Respond promptly to calls, with a goal of 100% callback rate within 30 minutes.
- Surgical Requirements: Perform cesareans, gynecological surgeries, and other complex procedures as needed.
- Low-Risk and High-Risk Pregnancies: Competently handle low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, breech births, multiple births, and VBACs.
- Board Certification: Board certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Certifications: ACLS certification required; intermediate fetal monitoring certification preferred.
- Licensure: Hold or be eligible for an active North Carolina license.
- Experience: Minimum recent procedural requirements as listed above.
- EMR Systems: Familiarity with McKesson and Athena EMR systems is a plus.
- Staffing: Collaborate with RNs, CMAs, and midwives to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Hospital Beds: Work in a well-equipped 15-bed OB/GYN unit with full support for inpatient needs.
- Call Support: Receive midwife assistance during weekday calls, with physician-only coverage on weekends.
- Credentialing: Estimated 90-day process, with temporary privileges available for candidates with clean malpractice history.
- Travel and Lodging: Covered travel expenses, with nearby accommodations available.
