Position Overview

The Electrical Design Engineer will play a crucial role as a discipline contributor across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of construction documentation and foundational engineering principles. Responsibilities will include design and modeling tasks, with an emphasis on seeking guidance from senior engineers. Participation in technical societies, educational initiatives, and community involvement is encouraged. Key responsibilities include:
- Initial electrical design and layout
- Coordination of document delivery
- Preliminary load assessments
- Researching available commercial equipment
- Drafting designs
- System design under the mentorship of senior engineers
- Providing exceptional customer service to both internal teams and clients

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP consulting/design
- Strong client service skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes
- In-depth understanding of design systems
- Experience in preliminary electrical design and layout, document coordination, load calculations, equipment research, drafting, and system design.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with the following will be given preference:
- Professional Engineering License (or a desire to obtain one)
