Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team at Summit Oaks Hospital. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients
  • Assist in providing direction for inpatient and/or outpatient Psychiatric Units
  • Provide senior back-up coverage and weekend coverage as assigned by Hospital's Medical Director and/or Hospital's CEO/Managing Director
  • Carry an appropriate inpatient and/or outpatient case load as assigned by Medical Director and/or Hospital's CEO/Managing Director
  • Attend 75% of physician meetings and 75% of MedExec meetings

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school; completed residency in psychiatry, Board Certification required
  • Experienced in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, well-developed skills in integrating individual treatment approaches into treatment milieu and good working relationships with other attending physicians and staff
  • Valid and current license to practice medicine in the State of NJ; current narcotics numbers as issued by the State of NJ and USDEA
