Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Samaritan Health Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care to acutely ill adults and those who require surgery, both emergent and elective.
- Work collaboratively with registered nurses and nurse assistants to provide the highest standards of professional care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
- Successful completion of SHS ECG Monitoring class or an equivalent course approved by management within six (6) months of hire.
- ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Orthopedic and Bariatric experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Social Perceptiveness: Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Adaptability/Flexibility: Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations.
- Time Management: Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames.
- Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues and exchange information between team members.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 54 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, twist, and reach to perform tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
