We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. As an integral part of our medical imaging department, you will play a critical role in capturing high-quality images for diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
About the Role:The successful candidate will operate magnetic resonance imaging scanners to obtain detailed images of the body's internal structures. They will administer contrast media, position patients for optimal image capture, and manipulate images to create clear and accurate studies. In addition, they will distribute images to the PACS system and reproduce images on alternate media as necessary.
Responsibilities:- Operate MRI scanners to capture high-quality images
- Administer contrast media to enhance image quality
- Position patients for procedures and ensure their comfort and safety
- Manipulate images to create clear and accurate studies
- Distribute images to the PACS system and reproduce images on alternate media as needed
- 12 months prior experience in a medical imaging department
- Graduate of an approved school/program of Radiologic Technology
- Possesses current ARRT certification(s)
- May be required to support the Level I Trauma Center by providing 24/7 coverage while on duty or by taking call
- May conduct QA testing on MRI equipment using phantoms and the like to ensure optimal image quality and maintain compliance with third-party accreditation requirements
- Must have valid ARRT certification
- Must have 2 years of MRI experience
- Must have experience working with GE Equipment
- Must have experience working with EPIC
- Must be able to work 24/7 shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
