JMI Resource is seeking an experienced woodworker to join our team. As a carpenter, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality construction and repair services to our clients.

Job Description

You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including building frameworks, installing fixtures, and crafting custom woodwork. You will work independently or as part of a team to deliver results that meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction and Repairs: Build, install, or repair frameworks, doors, partitions, cabinets, and other wooden structures according to specifications.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plans to determine project requirements.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, plastic, and drywall using power and hand tools.
  • Custom Woodworking: Create custom furniture, moldings, or other wooden elements as needed.
  • Installation: Install flooring, roofing, windows, staircases, and trim.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Ensure all tools and equipment are in proper working condition and adhere to safety regulations on the job site.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with specifications.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a carpenter or in a related role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other carpentry equipment.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction safety protocols.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and adapt during projects.
  • Communication: Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with team members and clients.

Salary: $62,000 per year, based on experience.
