Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist in our Critical Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with respiratory disorders, working under the direction of physicians. Your expertise will encompass diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer various therapies, including mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and address any concerns
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Respiratory Care or related field (Associate's degree equivalent)
  • 1-3 years of experience in critical care or respiratory therapy
  • Active Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license and certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • In-depth knowledge of ventilators, CPAP/BiPap, oxygen delivery systems, and HFNC
