We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Description

  • You will be responsible for providing direct patient care to pediatric patients in the emergency department, utilizing your expertise and judgment to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
  • You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized plans of care that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • You will maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient interactions, including assessment findings, treatment plans, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • A current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. Compact license is accepted.
  • An Associate Degree; BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
  • Current BLS- Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in Emergency room setting required, Pediatric setting preferred.
