Service Technician / Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician / Mechanic to join our team at Jacky Jones Automotive. As a Service Technician / Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air-conditioning
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Document work performed
  • Keep shop area neat and clean

Requirements:

  • Service Technician experience required - Factory certification preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Must be a team player
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
