Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team at Margaritaville Restaurants. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets our quality and presentation expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and plating guidelines, ensuring that all dishes meet our quality and presentation standards.
  • Station Setup and Maintenance: Set up and maintain your station according to established guidelines and requirements, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all company HACCP documentation and procedures throughout your shift.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work effectively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are fulfilled efficiently and to the highest standard.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels, reporting any low stock or inventory issues to management.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of six months to one year of experience as a prep/line cook in a full-service, high-volume restaurant is required.
  • Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to complete a heavy workload with minimal supervision.
  • Education: A high school degree or equivalent is preferred, and a culinary degree or equivalent is also preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, and reach, as well as the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Environmental Factors: The kitchen environment can be hot and humid, with moderate to high ambient noise levels.
