Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Anesthesia Providers: Work closely with anesthesia providers to prepare patients for procedures, assemble anesthesia equipment, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Maintain Anesthesia Equipment: Ensure that all anesthesia equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate Patient Care: Collaborate with the perioperative team to coordinate patient care, including preparing patients for procedures, managing anesthesia equipment, and ensuring a smooth transition between procedures.
- Provide Excellent Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care, including inserting IV lines, administering medications, and monitoring patients during procedures.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including anesthesia procedures, patient outcomes, and any issues that may arise.
- Education: Graduate of an ASATT-approved program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or a minimum of two years of experience as a Certified Anesthesia Technician.
- Certifications: Certified with the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) as a Technologist or Technician, Basic EKG certificate/course, and valid BLS Provider Card.
- Skills: Working knowledge of anesthesia equipment, including troubleshooting, and ability to lift 45 lbs of equipment from an overhead position on a daily basis.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work efficiently and competently with minimal supervision.
