Job Summary:

JBS USA is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our Occupational Health team. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to employees who have been injured or fallen ill while working.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administering first aid treatment and life support care to sick or injured employees.
  • Performing emergency clinical diagnostic and treatment procedures.
  • Observing, recording, and reporting the condition or injury of employees, the treatment provided, and reactions to drugs and treatment.
  • Assessing the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
  • Comforting and reassuring patients.
  • Providing ongoing treatment to employees.
  • Working with employees and managers to identify and implement ergonomic improvements.
  • Performing drug and alcohol screenings and hearing tests as required.
  • Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Collaborating closely with the Safety Department.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent customer service skills, be a team player, able to work well under pressure, and possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also be able to identify and complete goals on time, follow company policies, and demonstrate willingness to work with people from diverse cultures. Additionally, you must have a current EMT certification in the state of Nebraska and be willing to work weekends and 3rd shift as needed.
