Role Summary:
The Packaging Technician plays a crucial role in the operations of a production brewery, executing a range of essential tasks that support the canning, bottling, and kegging processes. This position is vital for maintaining the quality and efficiency of beer production, working closely with the Head Brewer to ensure adherence to all operational protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and enhance safety standards as established by management.
  • Oversee packaging processes, including filling, labeling, and warehousing.
  • Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Engage in various beer production activities, including cellar operations and quality assurance.
  • Assist with inventory management and shipment processing.
  • Collaborate with team members to support brewery operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and quality control documentation.
  • Participate in promotional events and community engagements as needed.
  • Adapt to the dynamic needs of a growing brewery.
  • Be open to additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a brewing or food/beverage processing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
  • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Demonstrated integrity, punctuality, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Willingness to assist in various business functions as necessary.
Preferred:
  • Educational background in brewing, packaging science, or related fields.
  • Experience with equipment operation, including forklifts.
  • Passion for craft beer and commitment to quality assurance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move products weighing up to 165 pounds.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
