Job Description:

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 2F Observation unit, specializing in short stay and fast turnaround of surgery, cardiac, urology, and gastric patients. This unit focuses on ERAS protocols and serves our Bariatric Center of Excellence patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.
  • Respect patients' mind, body, and spirit by honoring human dignity and the uniqueness of each individual.
  • Provide direct patient care activities, including nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments, as well as facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
  • Coordinate and individualize treatment planning, provide patient and family-centered education, and promote excellence through helping relationships among nursing staff and across other disciplines.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
  • Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
  • Basic life support, ACLS/PALS/NRP, and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
