Role Description

As a Lead Software Architect, you will be a key contributor within the engineering team, collaborating across various departments to ensure a seamless experience for our clients while upholding the highest standards of security and uptime. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise, spanning from user interface design to backend architecture and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Lead Software Architect, you will:
  • Oversee multiple projects and provide guidance to engineering teams.
  • Take ownership of comprehensive solutions throughout their entire lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with product managers, team members, clients, and other engineering groups to address complex challenges in developing enterprise-level applications.
  • Ensure the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions.
  • Lead design discussions and code evaluations to enhance the quality of engineering practices across the organization.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases, along with Container Orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and various Azure services.
  • Guide junior team members in their professional development to help them reach their full potential.
  • Continuously share best practices and refine processes within and between teams.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in designing solutions that incorporate low-code elements, pro-code enterprise components, and machine learning & AI cognitive services (e.g., Power Platform, Azure App, Azure Cognitive Services & Azure Machine Learning).
  • Expertise in at least two modern programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, with a focus on object-oriented design.
  • Experience in developing products using service-oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs.
  • Proficient in the architecture and design of both new and existing systems, including patterns for reliability and scalability.
  • Familiarity with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code practices.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Cloud Architecture, and the Azure DevOps Operational Framework.
  • Experience with operational portals such as Azure Portal.
  • Knowledge of application monitoring tools and performance evaluation techniques.
  • Familiarity with data center structures, capabilities, and offerings, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of developer tools throughout the software development lifecycle (task management, source control, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication).
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Azure Networking (Subscription, Security zoning, etc.) (preferred).
  • Understanding of security protocols and products, including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth (preferred).
Experience:
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • 3+ years of experience in architecture and design.
  • 2+ years of experience with open-source frameworks, including capacity modeling/benchmarking and application performance tools.
  • 3+ years of experience with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or experience.
Compensation:
$71,236,500.00
The aforementioned salary range serves as a general guideline. Various factors are considered to determine the final hourly rate or annual salary for the selected candidate, including the role's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, work location, and market conditions.
