Sustainable Talent is partnering with Nvidia, a global leader in computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing. We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support our client's IPP (Infrastructure, Planning and Process) Team.

This is a W-2 full-time contract based in Santa Clara, CA, offering a hybrid work option. The salary for this position ranges from $80-90 per hour, based on factors such as experience, education, location, and other considerations. Benefits, PTO, and an amazing company culture are also provided.

Nvidia is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to work in the IPP team, which is responsible for infrastructure needs across various groups within NVIDIA Software. This includes Graphics Processors, Mobile Processors, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Driverless Cars. The cloud services provide thousands of automated jobs daily, helping with efficiency for thousands of NVIDIA software engineers worldwide.

The cloud environment hosts a heterogeneous mix of machines and devices with various operating systems (Windows/Linux/Android) and hardware platforms (NVIDIA GPUs and Tegra Processors). Key Responsibilities:
  • Fleet monitoring & recovery of assets in our private cloud environment that houses several compute servers with NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Building and stabilizing virtualization infrastructure using ESXi, KVM, and Hyper-V.
  • Deploying and maintaining a large farm of machines using Configuration Management & Infrastructure Automation tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Participating in on-call & rotational L1 support for round-the-clock monitoring and remediation of infrastructure issues.
  • Analyzing and debugging operating system, networking, configuration, and performance problems.
  • Assisting in roll-out and deployment of infrastructure configurations to support the latest NVIDIA hardware and technologies.
  • Contributing to the development of monitoring systems for fast, reliable, and real-time infrastructure insights.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience required.
  • Ability to debug and analyze system issues, code to triage, root cause, and resolve issues in the infrastructure.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise production systems.
  • Scripting experience with any of Python, Go, Unix shell proficiency.
  • Experience with version control systems like Perforce, GIT.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with VM and hardware virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Background with automating bare metal and VM provisioning.
  • Experience with supporting GPUs, embedded device development, driver development, and CUDA/TensorRT applications.
  • Development experience in Chef, Ansible, and infrastructure orchestration.
