Job Overview:
The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Substitute Nutrition Services Aide. This position will be available at various school locations on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during meal periods, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.
- Encourage and remind students of appropriate behavior.
- Ensure students remain in designated eating areas and that these areas are cleaned properly.
- Assist with food preparation and related duties within the cafeteria.
- Maintain safety and sanitary practices in eating areas.
- Monitor student serving lines and report any unsafe conditions.
- Document accidents or injuries and seek emergency assistance when necessary.
- Instruct students on proper conduct in nutrition service areas.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of basic safety rules, child development principles, and first aid is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to supervise children, maintain order, and work collaboratively with others.
Licenses and Certifications:
Current first aid and CPR certification are required.
