Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at RED LIGHTNING FIELD SERVICE LLC. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and heavy equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Conduct engine tune-ups and oil changes
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty components, such as brakes, shocks, struts, and hydraulics
  • Operate heavy equipment, including cranes and forklifts, as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
  • Knowledge of DOT guidelines and the ability to perform a proper DOT inspection
  • Proficiency with different scan tools and OEM programs to help with diagnostics
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of air brake systems
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, such as cranes and forklifts
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Class A CDL preferred but not required
