Insight Global is in search of a Lead IT Risk Assurance Specialist who will work remotely in a contract capacity with potential for permanent placement in the future.

The Lead Risk Assurance Specialist will be responsible for evaluating risks and controls associated with information systems within the organization’s Global Technology sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating on comprehensive risk management initiatives.
  • Aligning technology risk strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Contributing to efforts aimed at reducing technology-related risks.

This role requires interaction with various business units to educate them on risk identification, collaborate on remediation strategies, and empower them to manage their own monitoring processes to address identified gaps.



IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:
  • Engage in continuous evaluations of the organization’s Risk Management Program.
  • Support strategic planning that aligns technology risk activities with overall business goals.
  • Utilize quantitative risk assessment models and tools to guide strategic and tactical risk decisions.
  • Assist in implementing Global Tech Risk Management initiatives to mitigate technology-related vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to governance processes for risk identification, assessment, and response.
  • Maintain methodologies and training related to risk assessments.
  • Lead assessments and remediation initiatives, ensuring progress tracking and reporting on security control deficiencies.
  • Analyze risk and control data to provide actionable recommendations and reports for management.
  • Facilitate risk registration and collaborate with risk owners on treatment plans, monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Balance business requirements with security considerations, effectively communicating issues and options to management.
  • Present risk registers and treatment strategies to stakeholders regularly.
  • Enhance the collection and management of risk register information.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to streamline workflows and gather necessary risk profile data.
  • Support project teams in implementing security measures that comply with corporate policies and external regulations.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of technology assessment outcomes and monitor remediation efforts.
  • Deliver comprehensive documentation throughout task execution, including status updates on ongoing work.
  • Create regular status reports, including technical task updates and threat management summaries.
  • Support the Business Technology Disaster Recovery initiatives.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, and Regulatory matters that could affect data confidentiality, availability, or integrity.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with HIPAA, PCI, or SOX security control frameworks.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CASP, CYSA, ISA, or Security+ CE.
  • 7+ years of experience as an IT Risk Analyst.
  • 5+ years of experience with ISO 27001, NIST, and NIST CSF Security Controls frameworks.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CPRA, NIS, NIS2, CPA).
  • Experience with OneTrust Governance-Risk-Compliance (GRC) software suite.
  • Experience in enterprise-level global organizations.
  • Able to effectively communicate security-related concepts to a diverse audience, both technical and non-technical.
