Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Iredell-Statesville School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students with special communicative needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with special communicative needs to use their maximum communicative potential based on age and cognition.
  • Coordinate services with the student's educational staff and family.
  • Document for Medicaid billing for all eligible students.
  • Plan and oversee the school program, cooperating with others to accomplish its goals.
  • Conduct screening and testing, obtain diagnostic information, analyze information, and make recommendations regarding programs and services.
  • Develop individual education plans for each speech-language eligible child in collaboration with the classroom teacher, parent, LEA representative, and other pertinent professionals.
  • Manage and conduct therapy, using appropriate diagnostic tools and therapy techniques to support the curriculum.
  • Provide consultation, seek assistance of others, use related research, and make recommendations and referrals for the implementation of services.
Requirements
  • Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • G License from the NC Department of Public Instruction.
  • Successful prior SLP experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
