Position Overview:
THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE.

The ideal candidate must be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Responsibilities include retrieving and transporting up to 10 shopping carts from the parking area to the designated cart corral inside the store, along with performing some trash collection and cleaning duties.

As an entry-level team member, you will gain exposure to a range of retail tasks related to additional services offered by our store, product handling, and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members take pride in providing exceptional customer service and enjoy engaging with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transporting shopping carts from the exterior of the store to the interior.
  • Coordinating and collecting litter from the parking lot, lawn, and store interior.
  • Safely operating snow removal equipment to clear snow.
  • Handling perishable and salvage returns.
  • Performing basic cleaning duties in the store and restrooms.
  • Collaborating with various departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.

Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening and communication abilities.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
