About the Role:

The Pathologists Assistant Lead will provide oversight of non-clinical duties for all staff PAs performing anatomic pathology services. This includes assisting in the preparation and performance of human surgical specimen dissection, managing day-to-day workflow assignments and scheduling of CCPA Pathology Assistants, and ensuring that day-to-day assignments and scheduling meet the needs of the Laboratory.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight of non-clinical duties for all staff PAs performing anatomic pathology services
  • Assist in the preparation and performance of human surgical specimen dissection
  • Manage day-to-day workflow assignments and scheduling of CCPA Pathology Assistants
  • Ensure that day-to-day assignments and scheduling meet the needs of the Laboratory
Requirements:
  • Certification: PA (ASCP) certified
  • 3+ Years of supervisory experience in a laboratory setting
  • 3+ Years of Pathologist Assistant experience in major hospital settings
  • 3+ Years' experience with quality management programs
  • Education: Associate Degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology, obtained from an accredited institution
